Campus Store Return Policy


 

 

Conditions of refunds/exchanges:

  1. Refunds/exchanges can only be issued with the original receipt.

  2. All items being returned/exchanged must be unused, unopened, with the price tag attached, and in their original selling condition.

  3. Items that are deemed defective can be exchanged.

  4. All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.

  5. Customers must present their Ucard or their government-issued photo ID.

  6. All flash sales and clearance items are final sale.

  7. Shipping costs for online orders are non-refundable.

  8. Gift cards are non-refundable.

  9. Refunds and exchanges are subject to the evaluation of the store manager.

 

For refund eligibility, the purchase date is defined as follows:

  1. In-store purchase: The date the item was bought at the Campus Store.

  2. Online purchase: The date the order was shipped from the Campus Store.

 

Textbook returns:

  1. Textbooks may be refunded or exchanged within 7 days from the original purchase date, some exceptions apply.

  2. Shrink-wrapped textbooks must remain sealed in their original packaging.

  3. New textbooks that show signs of use, such as markings, cracked spines, wear, highlighting, bent corners, or any general damage, are not eligible for return.

  4. Access codes or E-Books that have yet to be redeemed can be returned within 7 days of the original purchase date. Codes or E-Books that have been redeemed are non-refundable.

  5. General books can be returned/exchanged within 7 days of the original purchase date at Manager’s discretion.

  6. Textbooks/course materials purchased during the last week of classes or final exams are not refundable.

  7. Refunds will not be issued on textbooks or course materials after the course drop deadline each semester. Please consult the academic calendar for additional details.

 

Merchandise returns (all non-course related materials):

  1. General merchandise may be refunded or exchanged within 7 days from the original purchase date, some exceptions apply, see below.

  2. All products must be in their original packaging and unused.

  3. Clothing items must be unworn, unused, and unwashed with the tags attached.

  4. To be considered for return, merchandise must be clean and free of any odors, debris (such as pet hair), stains, dirt, damage or any signs of use.

 

No refund or exchanges on:

  1. Clearance or sale items and any item marked final sale.

  2. Custom course materials (lab manuals, custom texts, print-on-demand, etc.).

  3. Test/exam preparation guides.

  4. Custom merchandise items (custom apparel, program hoodies, special orders, etc.).

  5. Some general merchandise items: drinkware, electronics, calculators, medical equipment.

  6. Headwear

  7. Used or washed clothing items.

  8. E-books with used access codes.

  9. Used or unwrapped textbooks/course materials.

  10. PPE (masks, disposable gloves, lab coats etc.)

 

In-person Refunds:

  1. Products purchased either in-store or online can be returned for a refund at the store, provided the original receipt is presented and the conditions outlined in this policy are satisfied.


 

Returns by mail:

  1. Before returning your item by mail, please email Shop@ontariotechu.ca. Mailing your item to the Campus Store does not guarantee that your item will be refunded. Make sure that your refund is authorized by Campus Store staff before mailing your item to us. If you mail your item to us without prior authorization and your request is declined, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item back to you.

  2. Ensure your return is securely packaged and includes a copy of your confirmation email, return authorization and receipt. Without this information, there may be a delay in processing your refund.

  3. The cost of return shipping is your responsibility. We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages, so please use a traceable and secure shipping method for your return.

  4. Keep your tracking information and shipping receipt until your refund is confirmed.

Abandoned pickup orders:

  1. Pickup orders not collected within 14 days will be considered abandoned, and the customer will lose ownership of these items.

  2. Refunds will not be issued for abandoned orders.

  3. If you are unable to pick up your items within the 14-day period, please email shop@ontariotechu.ca to request a refund before the deadline.
